Zoo de Granby

Do I have to book my tickets at the Zoo?

No. When you book a Zoo Package with us, you get privileged tickets guaranteeing your place on the day of your choice, without reservation and without notice.

Will the price be adjusted if our family does not consist of 2 adults and 2 children?

Of course! All our packages are customizable according to the composition of your family. For families of 5 or more, we will be happy to book your getaway by phone at 1-800-363-8953.

How do I get my Zoo tickets?

Your privileged tickets will be available at the Hotel front desk from 7 am on the day of your arrival.

Is the Hotel located near the Zoo?

Yes. Hotel Castel is a 4-km drive from Granby Zoo. For your safety, since the Zoo is located on a busy boulevard with no sidewalks, we do not recommend walking the distance.

OUTDOOR POOL

What is the maximum capacity of the pool during COVID?

During COVID, government standards require us to limit the pool to 17 people in the large section and 2 people in the paddling section.

How to reserve a time slot for the swimming pool?

Every day from 9 a.m., reservations for the day are made directly on site with the lifeguard on duty. During rush hours, periods of use are limited to 30 minutes.

Is the pool heated?

Yes. The temperature can vary between 80 O and 85O F.

Is the pool open year-round?

No. The pool is open from mid-June to mid-September.

What are the pool hours?

In summer, the pool is open everyday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The swimming pool's opening hours may be extended if conditions are favorable (light and weather).

SPAS

Where are the spas located?

The spas are located outside in the hotel's private gardens.

What is the maximum capacity of the spas during COVID?

During COVID, government standards require us to limit to one family bubble per spa.

How to reserve a time slot for the spas?

Every day from 9 a.m., reservations for the day are made directly on site with the lifeguard on duty. During rush hours, periods of use are limited to 15 minutes.

What are the spas hours?

The spas are open everyday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Are the spas open year round?

Yes. The outdoor area has been specially designed to be comfortable through all seasons with, among other things, heating mats in winter.

RESTAURANTS

What restaurants are on site?

There are 3 restaurants on site. To find out the opening hours and view the menus, visit the dedicated page.

HOURS TO REMEMBER

What is the check-in time?

Check-in starts at 4.30 p.m.

What is the check-out time?

Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Contact the front desk on the day of your departure to inquire about the availability of a late check-out ($).

Can I cancel or modify my reservation free of charge?

When you make a reservation directly with us, by phone or on our hotelcastel.ca website, you can make any modification or cancellation free of charge until noon on the day of your arrival. Certain conditions apply.

BIKING

Where can I keep my bike safe?

Bikes are allowed in your room or on your private balcony. Two elevators are available if your room is not on the ground floor.

Is the Hotel located near the cycle paths?

Yes. One of the cycle paths is accessible less than one kilometer from the Hotel. The Granby region offers a magnificent network of cycle paths.

ADAPTED ROOMS

Is it possible to book an adapted room?

We have some rooms adapted for people with reduced mobility. To book an adapted room, please contact us by phone at 1 800 363-8953.

PARKING

Is the parking free?

Yes. The Hotel’s large parking lot is free.

Can I park my recreational vehicle at the Hotel?

Only guests with a room may park their recreational vehicle in the Hotel’s parking lot.

OTHER FACILITIES

Is the gym accessible at all times?

Yes. With your room key, the gym is accessible at all times. Access is reserved for people 18 years old and over.

Is the game room accessible at all times?

During the day and the evening, the game room is accessible with a key available at the front desk. The game room has ping-pong, air hockey, table football tables and wall games for toddlers.

PETS

Are dogs or other animals allowed?

Animals are prohibited in the establishment with the exception of assistance dogs and guide dogs ($). In accordance with the leaflet of the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse du Québec, we can recognize them from:

  • The dog’s harness bears the Mira Foundation logo;
  • The dog has the collar of the Lions Foundation;
  • The dog’s vest bears the PACCK Foundation logo;
  • The dog owner has a letter or card issued by a recognized dog training organization.

To prevent abuse, this evidence should be presented at the Hotel reception to allow entry of the dog.
